Remember when Kevin said to the Pigeon Lady on Home Alone 2, "I won't forget to remember you."? What a poignant line. How often we do forget, though. And not just about others, but mostly ourselves.
"I won't forget to remember you." But, have you? Have you, spiritual being made flesh, forgotten yourself? Did you make a promise, before this lifetime, to truly remember? Your true self. Your core. Your very essence. Soul.
It's okay that you forgot, because we all did. That was the deal. Forget in order to remember. Remember in order to grow. Grow in order to ascend. Ascend in order to purify and magnify our vibration. Increase our vibration to shine our light more brightly. Shine brighter to help heal humanity and Gaia. Heal people and the earth to usher in a new age. A new age of light, love, and remembering.
So, what does it mean to Remember Who You Are? It means letting go of who you think you are. It means letting go of who others think you are. It means letting go of who society says you should be. It means dying to our forgetting and living to our remembering.
We continue on in our daily lives. We breathe the same oxygen, we slumber the same sleep, we walk the same steps. Yet, we don't. We are changed, and the same is never the same again. The old story is finished, though not forgotten. The lessons and memories are carried into the new story; purified and alchemized. A new story of truth, bravery, and surrender -- because it takes all three to write and live in your new narrative. It's an uncomfortable and painful journey, this remembering. But, it's liberating. It's a promise fulfilled to your soul -- to live in your truth and come home to yourself.
